ChandlerQE is an application for the Android platform that allows you to send notes to your Chandler Hub account. Chandler is the Note-to-Self Organizer created by Open Source Applications Foundation (OSAF) and was inspired by the Getting Things Done philosophy by David Allen. If you are new to Chandler, be sure to check out the product tour.
Chandler Hub is unfortunately not usable with the browser in Android, which is why we need ChandlerQE. Your phone is always with you, so you can quickly send notes to the Hub, and then use Chandler Desktop or your desktop browser to manage your items.
To get started, you must first create an account on Chandler Hub with your desktop browser. It is easy, and free.
The Chandler ecosystem consists of the Chandler Server aka Cosmo, the Chandler Desktop client, and various other limited clients like ChandlerQE. OSAF is also running a free instance of the Chandler Server, called the Chandler Hub. The Hub is interoperable with a wide range of services, including Apple and Google calendar products as well as Mozilla's Sunbird and Lightning calendar clients. See also a more detailed explanation of compatible software.
Although OSAF, the non-profit behind Chandler, is providing free tools and services, it needs money to operate. I will donate 20% of ChandlerQE sales to OSAF. If you find any of the software or services OSAF provides useful to you, I hope you will donate as well.
ChandlerQE for Android is available in the following mobile marketplaces for $0.99 USD:
