I buy and read lots of technical books, and have found a few gems which I am recommending here, especially on software security. There are a couple that might not strictly qualify as technical, but I include them for sentimental reasons: Dreaming in Code is as far as I know the only book in which I appear, and Getting Things Done was highly inspirational for the project that Dreaming in Code documents.

I have also included an Electronics section, specifically from the point of view of a Linux user. Printer is one of the items that used to give me grief until I found the HP PhotoSmart. I find I end up doing a fair bit of research before I buy electronics to ensure they play nicely with Linux. I am not always successful, but I try to keep my recommendations here as Linux friendly as possible.
